Health care is one of the fastest growing career sectors. The Health Science and Medical Technology Sector requires academic and technical skills, as well as the related knowledge necessary for the field. These careers range from entry level to management, including technical and professional specialties. Workers in this field need the knowledge and ability to contribute to the delivery of safe and effective health care. Nearly half of the careers in this area require professional level preparation. Students commonly need the academic background required for entry into postsecondary education. Specific skill sets needed usually include chemistry, physics, math, and biology plus communication, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Dietary Manager 

The Dietary Manager/Dietary Service Supervisor program provides certification for employment in nutritional care and dietary management within a health-care facility, such as a skilled nursing facility. You will ensure that the food department runs smoothly, while handling dietary restrictions, food ordering, and quality assurance.

Fitness Specialist

Designed so you can finish within 12 months, this certificate program is ideal if you’re looking to start working as a personal trainer, group exercise instructor, or strength and conditioning coach. You will learn instruction techniques related to strength training and aerobic fitness, nutrition, exercise assessment, and injury management. Once you complete this program, you will then be prepared to take a variety of national certification exams including NASM, ACSM, and NCSF.

Nursing & Allied Health

The goal of the ARC Nursing Program is to prepare a graduate who is eligible for licensure to practice as a registered nurse. In addition, graduates are prepared to utilize the nursing process effectively with patients of all ages and within a variety of healthcare settings. The graduate will have a solid foundation in providing competent nursing care at the entry level of registered nursing practice.

Paramedic

Then you’ll also have the opportunity to work in the field with a mentor for over 600 hours running 911 calls. Speech Language Pathology 

In this program you’ll get an introduction to the field of communication disorders and learn clinical strategies for helping children and adults improve their motor speech, voice, fluency, and hearing.
